My family and I love taking weekend getaways, especially trips that allow us to slow down, spend quality time together, and create lasting memories. This winter, we planned a family friendly getaway in London, Ontario, and it quickly became one of our favourite trips. The highlight of our stay was the amazing indoor pool area. With towering palm trees, a relaxing hot tub, and a fun waterslide, it felt more like a resort than a hotel. Our kids spent hours swimming and playing, while we enjoyed lounging poolside and soaking up the warm, vacation like atmosphere. These pool days quickly became some of our favourite memories from the trip.

Breakfast at Shelly’s Restaurant, located inside the hotel, was another favourite part of our stay. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious, a perfect start to each day before exploring London. While the hotel alone makes for a fantastic family weekend getaway in Ontario, we also explored one of London’s top attractions. During your stay, be sure to visit 100 Kellogg Lane, the city’s premier entertainment destination and Canada’s largest indoor entertainment complex. It is just a short drive from the hotel and offers endless fun for all ages.

Things to Do in London, Ontario With Kids at 100 Kellogg Lane

One of our favourite spots was The Factory, Canada’s largest indoor adventure park. We spent hours exploring the trampoline park, massive arcade, and the Slime Factory, which was a huge hit with the kids. We also enjoyed lunch at the Factory Canteen, a cute food area perfect for snacks and sweet treats.

For dinner, we visited The Clubhouse Restaurant and Bar, which combines delicious food with entertainment like mini golf and simulator games. It is an excellent choice for families looking for something fun and different. We also wandered through the Merry Market, filled with local vendors offering unique gifts, a perfect spot for holiday shopping.

One of the most magical experiences was the Merry Ment Experience. Santa’s Enchanted Elevator transports you straight to the North Pole and creates unforgettable family memories with the perfect photo opportunities. The Whoville Experience was another highlight, with fun activations and photo opportunities for the whole family. The Grinch Lab, where you can make slime to take home, was an absolute must do.

Before leaving, we explored the shops throughout the complex and treated ourselves to donuts from Balboni’s Donut Shop, which were absolutely delicious and a must try.
