Hideaway Bay Resort in Silver Creek, NY: A Dreamy Lake Erie Getaway

My husband and I stayed at Hideaway Bay Resort in Silver Creek, NY, and honestly, I was not expecting it to feel this much like a little tropical escape. From the beautiful waterfront views to the beach, cabanas, daybeds, and cozy cottages, this resort truly felt like we had flown somewhere tropical without actually getting on a plane.

It was the perfect place to slow down, unwind, and actually enjoy where we were staying.

Things to Do at Hideaway Bay Resort

There is plenty to do if you do not want to just lounge by the water, too. You can rent kayaks or paddleboards, play cornhole on the beach, take a guided tour, or catch a beach bonfire on select evenings.

Another great way to spend the day is relaxing by the water and taking in the views. Sometimes that is exactly what you need from a getaway.

I loved how the resort gives you the option to make your stay as relaxing or as adventurous as you want. It would be such a great destination for couples, families, or a getaway with friends because there really is something for everyone.

The Cottages at Hideaway Bay Resort

The cottages were one of my favorite parts of our stay. They are modern, cozy, and the rooftop balconies all have beautiful water views 🌊

There is just something about staying somewhere beautiful and having the water right outside your door that makes a getaway feel extra special.

I could easily see spending a cozy fall or winter weekend here, especially when you can enjoy the beautiful views from the restaurant, relax in the hot tub, warm up in the sauna, and then head back to your cottage for a cozy movie night.

Honestly, that sounds like the perfect getaway to me.

Dining at Drift Restaurant

We also spent some time at Drift Restaurant, which is gorgeous inside and out. You can come for brunch, drinks, or dinner, and everything we tried was delicious.

Plus, the sunsets here… 🌅

We started with the Brussels sprouts, then ordered the Steak Gorgonzola and Street Tacos with tofu, and it was all delicious. Hubby had the Black Cherry Reserve Manhattan and I had a custom mocktail.

The restaurant is such a beautiful part of the resort, and I loved being able to sit back, enjoy a good meal, and take in the waterfront views.

A Beautiful Fall and Winter Getaway

One of my favorite things about Hideaway Bay Resort is that it is open all year, so you can experience it during every season.

While the beach and tropical feeling make it such a beautiful summer destination, I can definitely see this being an amazing fall and winter getaway as well.

Hideaway Bay Resort also hosts weddings and many other special events, making it such a beautiful place to celebrate with the people who mean the most to you. Between the gorgeous waterfront setting, beautiful accommodations, delicious food and drinks, and everything the resort has to offer, it truly feels like the perfect backdrop for those special moments you will want to remember forever. Whether it is a wedding, anniversary, birthday, or another celebration, I cannot think of a more beautiful setting to gather with the people you love most.
